Described as a “foil” to other saxophonists, **Gabe Heinemann** prioritizes space and melody when composing and improvising. When writing for quartet, Heinemann weaves together improvisation, open-form composition, and harmolodic interplay into each song. The Gabe Heinemann Quartet will also perform the music of collaborator and pianist Solomon Lindenberg and the music of Ornette Coleman, showcasing the range in styles that Heinemann blends in each set.
